Optimize development through learning partnerships
The best way to support career development is to give employees job assignments that incorporate learning opportunities into their day-to-day work. Yet many career development processes emphasize training programs and develop planning activities that take people way from their jobs. Development should not be something employees do in addition to their regular jobs, development should simply be part of their jobs. This session explores ways to make this happen by leveraging the learning power of work relationships. We define the characteristics associated with effective on-the-job learning relationships and explore what is required to create these sorts of relationships and maximize their developmental value. We’ll share how to connect with each other in new and innovative ways to prepare for The Human Revolution.
