What you can do to reduce the risk of non-compliance in this area for your company
As of January 11, 2016, the Pay Transparency Final Rule is in effect. This Rule prohibits federal contractors from maintaining pay secrecy policies. Consequently, applicants and employees of covered federal contractors and subcontractors will be able to safely discuss their pay and contractors will not be able to fire or otherwise discriminate against any employee or applicant for discussing, disclosing or inquiring about their compensation or that of another employee or applicant.
