The national average for time-to-hire is climbing, according to the Wall Street Journal. U.S. employers are taking an average of 25 working days to fill vacant positions. This is the highest time-to-hire average for companies of all sizes since 2001. For companies with more than 5,000 employees, the average is even higher—at a company this size, you can expect a lapse of about 58 working days after you post the job ad before you officially welcome your new hire.
